From The
Raw Story:
Karl Rove has described his three and a half hour meeting with a grand
jury as grueling, and is more worried about being prosecuted than ever, MSNBC is reporting.
As good as that makes me feel I ain’t getting all happy-clappy until I see an indictment
handed down.

From Think Secret:
Apple recently asked the engineering team behind its Aperture photo
editing and management software to leave, Think Secret has learned. The move, which
resulted in the departure of several engineers while others were transferred to different
projects inside Apple, raises questions about the future of Aperture, Apple’s most
heavily criticized and bug-ridden pro software release in recent years.
UPDATE: Hmmm might not be the case.

When I heard about the resignations of Tevanian and Rubinstien … I did think ‘ruh
roh’ … this article from
OSViews expands on the issue a bit more:
I am surprised with the announcement last month of the departure of
Avie Tevanian & Jon Rubinstein, followed by the Boot Camp release for Windows XP,
and speculation that Mac OS X is dropping the Mach Kernel…that more people in the
Mac community aren’t FREAKING OUT!
eWeek tells the story in
a completely different way:
“In both cases—Tevanian and Rubinstein,” said Gruber, “I think
you’ve got guys who worked their butts off for years, managed a series of very successful
large projects for NeXT and then Apple, earned small fortunes in Apple stock, and
have now decided to enjoy their success.”

The PC has been placed beside the iMac… while the RDC was ok it was basically useless for doing dev work… key combos used to drive intellisense were causing a world of pain. My Solidworks work was also getting hard as screen refreshing over Wifi through 2 walls wasn’t all the crash hot. I got angry and decided I needed to sort the issue out.
On the plus side I have implemented Synergy which works a TREAT (especially when combined with the MacOSX GUI)… it even works with the Mighty Mouse!

Oh dear :
We are currently accepting applications for the New Zealand series
of Dragons’ Den. If you would like your application to be considered, please reply
as soon as possible. You’ll need a unique idea or a ‘must-have’ product of the future,
ready for investment. You’ll also need great powers of persuasion to part the Dragons
from their cash. If that sounds like you, just submit your details in the form below.
Man! That programme has, for me, become uncomfortable enough as it is (it’s cutting
a little too close to home these days).
