NZ iTMS
Listening to: Don’t Want To Know - Paul McLaney
Well it looks like we can now buy tracks from iTMS here in NZ:
Now Open: The New iTunes Store
Visit New Zealand’s newest entertainment superstore and start building your collection of digital music, music videos, audiobooks, podcasts, and iPod games from the comfort of your computer. Simply launch iTunes 7 on your PC or Mac and click “iTunes Store.” Any time, day or night, you can find and buy what you want in mere seconds. And you can even give gifts with just a few clicks.
The “New Zealand” option is yet to appear in my iTunes.

UPDATE:

UPDATE 2: John does a bit of a price comparison against other iTMS stores.

Annoyingly, as I browsed to the Australian store I saw the Brooke Fraser CD came out yesterday, so I signed up to the new Kiwi store…. oops - Brooke’s album isn’t in the NZ store. Even my brothers album (he’s also an aucklander) which is available in the Australian/US store - isn’t available in the NZ one.
My first impression sucks. All the music I would want to buy - isn’t available

I haven’t really had a good look around the store yet.
Mark, given my experience of the Aust store it doesn’t surprise me that the range is limited (v. going to Real Groovy).
Hayden, I do agree… about time!

The US store is good but there are still limits (no Japanese music). I met someone on the weekend who is able to use the US store without having a US credit card. Basically in the US you can buy iTunes vouchers in stores like Target, Walmart etc. He gets people to buy him those and send them over, or they just phone him and give him the codes. Then he just paypals the money to them. Much easier than faking a credit card address and dealing with all the other BS associated with that.
