A Peek into Our Future?
Listening to: Lately - Massive Attack
From the big-boys are jostling file:
The senior Air Force commander in the Pacific this week threw cold water on a Chinese military proposal to divide up the Pacific Ocean into U.S. and Chinese spheres of influence.
Gen. Paul V. Hester was asked about China’s recent plan to give the United States control of the eastern Pacific region, while China would control the western Pacific.
Time to start paying a bit of attention me thinks…

To lift your view that significant policy changes are floating, I agree that the world scene is beginning to reveal deep political shifts.
War games to cement inter-governmental relations across south Asia and the Pacific during meetings of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) are part of an emergent re-shaping. Putin’s vigor. Globalized ingenuity from China. Secondary leaderships assertively joining alliances outside of common associations. Endless maneuvering within resource infrastructure across the south Asia continent.
The politics may soon emerge in the headlines, methinks, but not before we find ourselves already living in restructured institutions and still encountering much cultural adjustment around the world.
As a baby boomer, political conflict has been perpetual. But I’m not pessimistic. It’s mere change. Coined from the 60s: “Hey, it’s puttin’ me through changes, man.”
