After getting my bash-scripting-fu on I was able to load my own content on the display:

Eventually I am going to have to recompile the OS of this puppy (it won’t do a DNS lookup for instance - let alone not having Perl or Python on board)… but I am going to try and put it off for as long as possible.

Hey Dave, nice work with that AM300, and thanks for making blog posts. I designed much of the AM300 hardware and software, and its cool to see someone using it. I’m sure it could be a lot better, but hopefully as a developer there is enough there for you to start doing useful things with E Ink.
Anyway, keep up the good work!
